Meher Fund, Inc. is a non-profit, charitable [501(c)(3)] corporation (U.S. Tax I.D. #57-0814333) founded in 1986. Its purpose is to help support the Meher Free Dispensary in rural western India. Meher Fund has a Grant Agreement in place with the Meher Free Dispensary (also a non-profit corporation under Indian Law) which allows it to accept tax-exempt donations from individuals and groups in the United States.
Donations received by Meher Fund, Inc. are used in their entirety to support our charitable purposes. We deduct no charges or operating expenses. (Donations made by credit card or PayPal, however, do incur a processing fee of about 3% levied by the payment processor.)
Meher Fund, Inc. is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who are committed to the purposes of Meher Fund, Inc.
